For more than 20 years, I have gained experience in appraising a wide range of income-producing real estate throughout Western Montana. This includes but is not limited to commercial, multi-family residential, multi-unit vacation rentals, industrial, agricultural, and land.
After building my career as a MAI-designated appraiser, I am pleased to bring that same level of market knowledge and professional analysis to my real estate buyer and seller clients.
After graduating from high school and growing up farming pigs and dairy cows in Iowa, I moved to the Flathead Valley (Bigfork, Montana) in 1995. Although I was not born in Montana, my wife and our children are third- and fourth-generation Montanans, specifically born in the Mission Valley, the Flathead Valley, and Missoula.
In Bigfork, I helped operate a Christian leadership training school called Eastgate for approximately six years. Between school sessions, I worked in construction, building single-family homes and commercial buildings. I then attended Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell and received my Associate's degree. Afterward, I attended the University of Montana in Missoula and majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Management.
In 2005, I joined a firm in Kalispell as a trainee for commercial property appraisals. In 2009, I obtained my Montana Certified General Appraiser License and shortly after started Holmes Real Estate Appraisal Co., LLC.
